Accessibility statement

We want everyone to be able to read about and enjoy The Garden of Eve, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or reduced-motion settings.

Our standard

This website aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA.

What we have done

• Text and interactive elements meet AA colour-contrast ratios.
• The whole site can be used with a keyboard, with visible focus and a "skip to content" link.
• Images have text descriptions; purely decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
• Headings and landmarks give the page a clear structure.
• Animations stop when your device is set to reduce motion.
• The layout reflows on small screens and when text is enlarged.
• The free edition is offered as both PDF and EPUB, so you can use your preferred reading app, font size and screen reader.

Known limitations

Some book files may not yet be fully tagged for every assistive technology. If anything on this site or in the books is hard to use, tell us and we will send you an accessible alternative.
